Junior Challenge Ladder

The club now has a junior challenge ladder posted on the clubhouse window.

The way this works is that all of the players are ranked from 1-30 - boys and girls separately - and players move up and down the ranking by playing challenges.

You can challenge someone up to 6 spots higher than you to a match - if you win, you swap positions with them. When you play your match and how long the match is are up to you and your opponent - you can play it whenever it suits the two of you and there's a free court - but make sure you contact the club on 9363 5860 and leave a message with the result (or email the result to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) so we can update the ladder.

• All players must be financial members of the club to be eligible to play competition

In-house Junior Competition - Registration

Deer Park Tennis Club will be running an in-house competition for juniors who aren't participating in the NSJTA competition.
Matches will be played over 8 weeks - excluding 3 weeks for school holidays - beginning on Saturday, September 5, 2015.

Matches will start 10am until 11.30am played at Deer Park. Players are required by 9.45am sharp to prepare for their matches.

Parents are required to supervise matches, which may include assisting with umpiring, and support their children. We can teach you how to umpire!

A series ladder will be displayed on clubhouse noticeboard.

Players MUST be financial members of the Deer Park Tennis Club Inc.

Please note the close date as no extension will be possible.

The schedule of matches will be Saturday 5/9, 12/9, 10/10, 17/10, 24/10, 7/11, 14/11, 21/11 (finals) and 28/11 if required - this schedule allows for school holidays and Melbourne Cup weekend.

Pennant Semi-Final Tomorrow - Deer Park vs Maccabi No. 2

Our Pennant team of Cameron, Justin, Leon, Riley and Theo have had an outstanding regular season - finishing in outright 1st position on the ladder and earning the right to host a semi-final tomorrow (Saturday 15/8) at Deer Park.

They're taking on Maccabi No. 2 from 1:00pm - if you're free, come along and cheer them on !

NSJTA 2015 Season 2 - Information and Fixture Collection Session - Tuesday, July 14 @ 7:00pm

All junior players registered to play NSJTA team tennis this season are required to attend an information session at the club on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 7:00pm to pick up fixtures and information for the new season, and to meet new team mates.

This season, Deer Park has teams in the following grades:

• A Grade 3 Mixed (Fridays)
• B Grade 2 Mixed (Saturdays)
• B Grade 2 Boys (Saturdays)
• C Grade 1 Unisex (Saturdays)
• C Reserve 1 Unisex (Saturdays)

The first round will start on Friday, July 17 (A Grade 3 Mixed) / Saturday, July 18 (all other grades).
