The NSNTA have planned a golf day for Sunday, October 4 - the day after the AFL Grand Final - and have invited the club to enter one or more teams.

Here is some more information:

We have now booked Melbourne Airport Golf Club for the morning of Sunday 4th October 2015, the day after the AFL Grand Final, to have our first NSNTA Golf Shield.

The day uses an Ambrose style competition played in teams of four. This could be 4 ladies, 4 men or a mixed foursome. The day uses a ‘shotgun start' which means we have teams go to each of the 18 tees and everyone starts at the same time so, we all finish around the same time enabling us to enjoy lunch together and move quickly to the results and prize presentation. As such it is crucial that teams arrive at 7am to register and then move to their starting tees, ready to “tee-off” at 7:30. Experience has shown that we can accommodate up to 30 teams of 4 players.

Aside from the overall competition on the day there will be nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.

The cost of the day is $45 per player which covers green fees, lunch and prizes. Drinks can be purchased at the bar in the club house. Carts, buggies and clubs are available for hire from the Pro Shop on the course. Bookings of carts can be made by calling the Pro Shop on 93384595.

Melbourne Airport Golf Club is located on Operations Road, Melbourne Airport near the south end of the north-south runway.
